Till he was eight, Gulshan Kumar was a severely disabled boy doing odd jobs for his father, a washerman. A chance encounter with choreographer-musician Syed Salauddin Pasha turned the course of his life. Seeing the spark in Gulshan, he trained him in Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Thang-ta on wheelchair. At 13, he performed in the House of Commons and today performing all over the world. He also holds a Guinness Record by making 63 spins a minute on a wheelchair.
